Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for
this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad
range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual
salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors,
including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the
skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the
candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our
comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also
eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range

Solutions Business and Function Architecture team, supporting our
Business Insurance, Bond & Specialty Insurance and Corporate Tech
organizations. As part of this strategic and collaborative
organization, you will help transform our business and technology
capabilities. You will report directly to the VP, Business and
Function Architecture, with a dual reporting relationship to the
business or function Chief Information Officer(s) and you will
collaborate with senior technology, business, and functional
leaders to influence and innovate solutions that impact Travelers’

You Do? Lead Technology Architecture for one or more Travelers
business or function segments. Ensure alignment between our
business and technology partners, and your leadership peers in
Enterprise Technology Solutions. Establish technical target state
and roadmap; ensure multi-year plan incorporates and aligns with
the overall technology strategy. Collaborate with senior leadership
to establish architecture priorities and set direction to enable
business/function imperatives. Bridge engineering and architecture
teams to drive commonality, standards and best practices. Drive
continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
Analyze industry trends to leverage technology advances. Lead
technology proof of concepts to validate new solutions. Partner
with engineering to align skills with technology direction.
Communicate architectural direction and its alignment with
enterprise strategy. Optimize talent strategy to ensure proper mix
of resources; attract, develop and retain high-performing talent.
Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the
architecture. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal
Candidate Have? Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or
equivalent, with 15 years in Technology Architecture. Proven
leadership and management of architects, including senior leaders.
Experience in P&C insurance, preferably Business or Commercial
Insurance. Hands-on experience within the last five (5) years.
Visionary executive with a history of building high-quality
enterprise solutions and teams. Results-driven with strong
architecture and engineering skills, knowledgeable in modern
technologies (e.g., Cloud-native, APIs, AI, ML). High integrity and
a willingness to challenge the status quo. Organizational and
transformational leadership in an agile model. Strong software
engineering expertise. Experience in developing strategic
technology direction and architecture vision for large
organizations. Skilled in creating technology target states and
roadmaps aligned with business goals. Proven ability to influence
C-level leadership. Strong understanding of value creation and
business capability models. Commitment to innovation and continuous
improvement. Decisive and passionate about technology
transformations. Good understanding of security. Experience with
large-scale commercial platforms (e.g., Guidewire, ServiceNow,
Salesforce). Knowledge of emerging AI capabilities, including
Generative AI and Agentic Architecture frameworks. What is a Must
Have? 15 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or
information architecture within a line of business or enterprise
area. Four years of previous management experience. What Is in It
