The Patient Access Representative Associate is responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person. Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into a electronic medical record. Location: 1175 Nininger Rd, Hastings, MN 55033 Primary Responsibilities: - Greets and welcomes patient in person - Collects demographic and insurance information - Checks in or interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork - Directs patient to their appointment or procedure - May assist in scheduling add-on appointments - Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results - Obtains signatures from patients as needed - Collects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available. Refers complex questions as needed - Uses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues - Assists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate department - May gather medical record information from all departments for collection You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: - 6 months of customer service experience - Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products - Ability to work on a per diem basis, morning, evening or night shift as the business requires - Day Shift – 6:30am – 3:00pm - Evening shift – 2:30pm -11:00pm - Overnight – 10:30pm -7:00am - Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications: - Flexibility to occasionally work other shifts as business requires - Revenue Cycle Experience - General office experience Soft Skills: - Quality communication skills - Dependability PLEASE NOTE The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates. Candidates who are currently working for UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare or a related entity in a full time, part time or per diem basis ("Internal Candidates") are not eligible to receive a sign on bonus. The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment.
