Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a R&D Technician for a contract position in Minnetonka, MN. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions. Testing is primarily mechanical testing utilizing custom-built fixturing and Instron equipment.
Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to the design and process concepts.
Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
Assist project teams in assessing and establishing specifications and quality standards.
Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
Act as a resource to other employees.
Communicate project status to project teams.
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.


Qualifications:AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
May be some lifting and bending.
Knowledge of Instron Wave Matrix software a plus.
Med Device experience preferred
Mechanical testing
