Job Description:
Sr Research Specialist, 3M, St.

Paul, MN: Lead tech R&D in low surface energy coatings,
abrasion & chemically resistant hardcoats, self-healing &
multifunctional coatings.
Develop tech from lab to pilot scale to manufacturing of new
products.
PhD in Materials Science req.
Must have 10 yrs exp.: (i) developing functionalized nanoparticles,
hardcoats & multifunctional coatings for new product development;
(ii) applying new tech in innovative coatings development &
demonstrating feasibility through commercialization.
Of exp.
req., must have 3 yrs exp.
in: (i) developing high performance alternatives for fluorinated
coatings; (ii) interfacing w/ scientists & product development w/in
a multinational company to leverage & develop new coatings
solutions & applications.
Must have at least 5 issued patents for innovations in new
tech.
Exp.
may be gained concurrently.
Position may be eligible for remote work w/in commuting distance of
St.
Paul office up to 2 days/week.
Domestic & international travel req.
10% of the time.
Salary range: $188,251
- $230,084 / yr.
