Transportation Supervisor will oversee Opportunity Partner’s
transportation department – services, personnel and vehicle fleet.
You will administer, evaluate and ensure that all operations
reflect person-centered principles that prioritize the safety,
preferences, and needs of individuals served. You will oversee the
vehicle fleet in a proactive way, assuring optimal performance,
forward thinking and process improvements, meeting organizational
goals and compliance standards. You will coordinate timely and
reliable service delivery, and lead transportation staff to deliver
high-quality, compassionate services. You will manage a team of one
transportation specialist and a fleet of 55 vehicles. Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Wage: $48,000.00 annual
salary How will you make a difference? As part of our team, you
will: Fleet Management: Administer and maintain fleet and telematic
management systems. Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and repair
schedule of the organization’s vehicle fleet to ensure safety,
reliability, and regulatory compliance. Monitor vehicle usage, fuel
consumption, and operating costs; implement cost-saving and
sustainability initiatives. Maintain accurate fleet records
including registration, insurance, inspection logs, and maintenance
histories. Coordinate with vendors and mechanics for vehicle
servicing and procurement needs. Collaborate with service teams to
create an annual budget for the department taking into account
future needs. Service Delivery: Provide and oversee transportation
policies, procedures and training for the organization. Ensure
timely and person-centered transportation services that promote
dignity, respect, and individual choice while promoting the highest
level of independence. Create and maintain transportation policies
and procedures. Respond to service incidents, delays, and
emergencies; lead investigations and corrective actions as needed.
Create and maintain transportation content and ongoing delivery of
such materials. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal,
state, and local transportation regulations. Create and maintain
relationships with Met Council, Metro Mobility, county
transportation staff and other vendors as needed. Purchase and
maintain pre-paid fare cards. Personnel Management: Supervise staff
by clearly identifying roles and responsibilities, enhancing skills
and promoting teamwork. Recruit, interview and hire transportation
staff based on qualifications. Supervise, train and support staff
to be knowledgeable in safety and transportation policy. Monitor
the training and progress of all staff, including competency, as it
relates to safety, transportation service delivery and fleet
management. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide
coaching and professional development. Foster a positive team
culture that upholds organizational values and person-centered
practices. Facilitate and promote teamwork and frequent
communication between the transportation department, finance
department and all service departments. Service Design: Develop
transportation services to meet changing service needs. Collaborate
with service departments to continuously evaluate needs, gaps in
service and quality improvements. Use data and feedback to
continuously improve transportation services, incorporating input
from individuals, families, and staff. Participate in trade
organization committees, engage in networking opportunities, and
build relationships with peers in the sector. What will you bring
to Opportunity Partners? High School/GED degree required Minimum of
two years of working in the human service industry Minimum of two
years of supervisory experience. Minimum of one year of fleet
management experience and/or limited mobility transportation
services experience. Valid Driver’s license and ability to operate
company vehicle to transport persons receiving services.
