tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate experience with the full development life cycle for
large-scale software products
- Actively lead and participate in analysis of product features
driving technical solutions, recommending alternative technical and
business approaches
- Gather and analyze data to author, review and maintain
engineering documentation where needed to make informed
implementation decisions
- Collaborate with architecture and lead software engineer to
ensure that solutions align with architectural principles, design
patterns, and enterprise security requirements
- Independently designs, codes, tests and debugs applications and
components adhering to secure coding, quality and maintainability
best practices with minimal guidance
- Guides feature team in technical discussions and mentors other
team members in code design and implementation
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other engineers
and offshore/global teams and facilitates this communication when
needed
- Provide mentorship in technical implementations, problem
resolution, and foster technical growth in feature team
members
- Take ownership of assigned features to ensure team members are
able to accomplish sprint goals
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, internal
and external technical teams, and engineering leadership
- Proactively identify and prevent technical debt, champion
continuous improvement and adoption of test automation
- Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver
high-quality software releases through Sprints
- Work with team to address and resolve production support issues
after deployment, providing solutions as needed
- Participate in building, deploying, monitoring, and operation
of production services
- Provide technical assistance in occasional on-call rotation
after hours support and work with the team to troubleshoot and
investigate system defects
- Actively share and seek out knowledge across engineering teams
to help facilitate improvements in overall team technical maturity
and feature delivery
- Provide and seek out direct feedback from feature team members
for continuous growth and effectiveness of the overall teamYou'll

- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 5+ years of experience in developing applications on the Java
platform (Spring Boot, REST Web Services)
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies such as
Azure
- 3+ years of experience working with MySQL or similar databases,
including writing complex join queries and SQL query tuning
- 3+ years of experience in applying object-oriented principles
and recommended design patterns to create robust and scalable
system designs
- 3+ years of experience in resolving technical issues through
debugging
- 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes and
containerization
- 2+ years of experience with microservice architecture
- 2+ years of JMS messaging experience using platforms like MQ or
Kafka streaming
- 2+ years of experience in development processes and tools
(Sonar, GitHub, CI/CD)
- 2+ years of experience in secure software development and
operations
- 2+ years of experience with Junit or other test frameworks
- 1+ years of experience working in teams following Agile
development methodologiesPreferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree (or higher)
- Experience with Linux or UNIX platforms
- Ability to define and drive improvements in overall quality,
including automation and code coverage
- Ability to set team coding standards and practices
- Experience in creating technical design documents
- Strong preference for experience in test automation frameworks
and application security principlesSoft Skills:
- Proactive in identifying and escalating potential risks and
impediments, and coming up with alternative solutions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting
abilities
- Effective communication skills with other engineers and
stakeholders*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to

role is $89,800to $176,700annually based on full-time employment.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local
labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
