Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 23, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and active ARDMS and RVT credentials for a 13-week assignment supporting both an outpatient clinic and an acute care hospital. Details - Supports both an outpatient clinic and an affiliated acute care hospital - Vascular ultrasound unit with general sonography responsibilities - Charting performed in Epic - Variable weekly schedule with a combination of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts - Shift start times vary: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, and 8:30 AM–9:00 PM - Alternating day and evening shifts - Weekend rotation of approximately one 12-hour weekend shift every 4 to 6 weeks - No on-call requirements Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/vascular experience required - Vascular experience is specifically required for this role - Active ARDMS credential required in at least one of the following specialties: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatric, or MSK; credentials in multiple specialties preferred - Active RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) credential required - Current AHA BLS required - Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program; qualifying education includes a two-year Allied Health certificate, Associate of Applied Science degree, or Bachelor's degree - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - License required if applicable - Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration - Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information - First-time travelers are not eligible for this position - No RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment - Maximum of 7 days of RTO per assignment; all RTO requests must be finalized and submitted upfront - Navy blue scrubs required for Ultrasound Technologists American Traveler Job ID P-678792.
