This role involves supporting surgical teams and enhancing patient care in operating rooms. The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for a range of tasks including preparing surgical areas, transporting patients and materials, and ensuring the smooth operation of all perioperative services. This position is pivotal in maintaining a sterile environment and assisting during surgical procedures. Prepare and maintain the surgical area before and after procedures Transport patients to and from the operating room Assist in transferring patients onto the operating table Ensure all necessary surgical supplies and tools are available and sterile Manage the inventory of surgical tools and supplies Support surgical staff during operations as needed Adhere strictly to infection control protocols Strong understanding of sterilization techniques Effective communication skills Ability to follow complex instructions Physical stamina and ability to lift at least 50 pounds Detail-oriented and organized Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or similar certification highly advantageous
