The Benefit Strategies team consists of individuals that develop
strategic plan design/positioning recommendations and support
financial forecasting for new and existing plan sponsors (and their
consulting/brokerage partners).
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere
within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensuring timely delivery of materials and meeting internal and
external deadlines
- Leading and coordinating enhancement to tools and processes
utilized by the Benefit Strategies team
- Supporting creation of new tools and processes under the
guidance of a Benefit Strategist in relation to new and existing
business needs
- Supporting and presenting at external meetings with clients and
consultants
- Peer reviewing financial modeling and client materials
- Modeling and forecasting plan performance for new clients
- Providing renewal & forecast support for existing clients
- Evaluating individual employer and book-of-business
performance

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related
quantitative discipline
- 3+ years of experience in a health benefit financial/pricing
role
- Familiarity with health plan analytic principles, practices,
and techniques to interpret plan experience and utilization
data
- Data manipulation and presentation skills, including MS Excel &
PowerPoint
- Proven ability and desire to build relationships externally
while collaborating with sales teamsPreferred Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing actuarial exam track
- Experience working as Benefits Consultant for large and jumbo
employers, preferably in the self-insured employer group
market
- Proven solid understanding of health insurance and plan design
concepts, preferably in the self-insured employer group market
- Proven solid presentation and communication skills, including a
demonstrated ability to build relationships with HR leaders
- Proven ability to navigate new and emerging situations with
efficient and accurate problem solving skills*All employees working

Telecommuter PolicyThe salary range for this role is $89,800 to
$176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on
several factors including but not limited to local labor markets,
education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group
